Do west coast people want to visit the east coast?

I live about an hour from New York and Philadelphia, and I've visited Miami several times. I have also seen much if the east coast and hope someday soon that I could go to LA, or Seattle. Do people from the west coast have the same anticipation about visting the east coast as us east coasters do about seeing the west? Is New York like the east coasts Los Angeles? Is Miami? I was just curious because I know most of my friends and family would love to see California, and I wanted to know if the east coast was as popular as the west.
