Americans, why are you so arrogant when your nation is such a failure?

While a wonderful country for MOST people, Americans unfortunately still suffer greatly under the influence of religious puritanism, even when it comes to politics. We also suffer from a distinct and utter lack of objectivity. Everything non-american is seen as lesser, and even a threat against us. The idea that someone could be better than us at something, even ping-pong table tennis, infuriates a lot people because they are brainwashed and uneducated.
