My Nero is pissing me off?

With my Nero vision, which worked fine in the past, I can t seem to load my downloaded videos to edit and burn. I was having no problem in the past but now nothing will load. The menu will disappear and the nero vision menu reappears. What is going on here? can I fix this or should I try some other burning program. My windows media, i think, does not burn movies but I have an LG exterior burner hooked up. HELP HELP HELP
