Snowboard sizing help?!?

k so i got a snowboard and the lady said it should be to like the tip of your nose but mines just a little over it, but then my friend says it supposed to be to your chin? idk what to do cause i really like my board and cant get it anywhere else but idk if its gonna work with me? help?! (:
