Brain fitness... I need some help.?

I believe myself to be a pretty intellectual guy, I read about parasites in my spare time, I'm learning French, and Physics; for fun. Recently I picked up a book on brain teasers - to increase IQ, and I'm having a really hard time with it. I'm curious if there are any mental exersizes to reduce the anxiety and stress that I feel from these little buggers; an influence that is damn impossible to focus on these crazy shapes, and ridiculous designs. It clouds my mind, and it's unable to do anything, when my goal was not to regress mental health, but to improve it. So... What can I do beforehand or during that will make this easier to handle...? I really don't understand why these would make me feel this way, but not anything else that my brain is doing. I can't for the life of me figure out why these problems are creating such a difficulty to think clearly while focusing on the shapes at hand.

I believe it is a finished polyeurthran hardwood floor made by Bruce (i found some left overs in the box still). When I mop using Clorox readymop, it doesnt take away the footprints and it looks dull. I have also tried Murphys Oil soap and it is the same. What does refinish mean? honestly it will be VERY hard to do on your own the front bits you may be able to do but to get it all even will be near impossible. maybe get a friend to help or just go to a hairdresser. i would use a straightener and all you do is curl the hair round the straightener and then wait for a few seconds. once its ready instead of unwinding it loosen the straightener and pull it down, this will loosen the curl and help you shape it how you want. i find using a straightener for curls is a softer look and less like a perm =]

Im fighting in the final of a big boxing tournment on April 17 and the dude im fighting charges and overwhelms everyone hes fought in the tourney so far. Seeins and stars HELP!?

about three weeks ago ive been noticing this. it starteed off like seeing things at corner of my eye like spots or a bug flying, then when i looked at the sky it was if i had bad reception.. there was sparkles and stars flashing everywhere. its goten really bad and now i can say when im at school every once in a while the spots can be big enough to cause a tiny blind spot, maybe the size of a bead. not too big. sometimes the spot is yellow, green, red, blue, sometimes its multiple colors. MOST of the time they are little sparklins and they dont stay they flash but a few times they stay a little. I went to the doc and they put me thru a neurological test (such as walk in straight line...etc) to see if i had maybe a tumor but i ped it all so we went to they eye doc and he said my retinas are perfectly fine, then i went back to the doctor and they scheduled a CT scan to see if there was a detatch,=ment in the optic nerve or tumor or something and results came back fine. i also was put thru multiple blood pressure tests and blood tests and my blood work is all normal as well. WHAT can it be? and also it seems things are shimmering. sometimes white thinggs have a blackish hazy shimmering look to it and black things have a whitish shimmereing haze. WHATS GOIN ON? and i going blind?

That doesn't make it a separate language. American newspapers choose to use American dialect - that doesn't mean American English is a different language from UK English. It makes a certain amount of sense, as long as standard English isn't neglected. Practically speaking, I would ume most of their teachers speak some form of AAVE anyway, so I don't think it would really have any effect. It would be like a Georgia school district declaring that students will be taught in Southern, as if they aren't already being taught in Southern. Who cares?

Energy saving light-bulbs - where to get nice fittings for these anyone?

Alot of households in the UK have been issued with free samples/supplies of energy saving lightbulbs. However they don't give off great light and most people now want nice bright light fittings in their rooms (i.e. not cold, dim, grey miserable light sources with e.g, just one bulb). These bulbs are excellent, they last for years and years and this is ideal for people trying to operate on a budget. We'd love to use our supply up (Phillips Genie 11 Watt/60Watt Energy Saver and Megaman SU111 Compact 2000). They don't look nice though - are a bit clumsy looking and lack elegance plus there really needs to be some new and exciting lighting design fittings for e.g., ceiling lights, standard lamps, etc need to be designed and marketed. It would be great to do away with the horrid hallogen ('trendy') bulbs we have at the moment. But I'm having trouble finding fitments to accommodate the energy saving (Phillips and Megaman supplies I have). I'd love to get rid of the hallogen bulbs they're extortionately priced at around �2.50 each and last on average one month. An ordinary 60 or 100 watt lightbulb costs something like 60p and lasts around one year. There's very little recourse to getting your money back from hallogen bulbs when they don't work. Are there any designs on the market at the moment who sell modern or traditionally fashioned fittings that are well designed to create a brightly lit room with a little elegance, concealing the sort of ugliness of a traditional bulb or the new energy-saving ones that lots of people have supplies of?

(see old question for more) basically a guy i have got to know i asked him to my formal. he said yes. i asked him if he wanted to come to my room or meet at the place, he told me whatever i wanted to do. so i told him to come to my place. we had a few drinks and talked. he was looking at me as i was finishing up getting ready. at the formal he is social so he talked to a lot of people, but he also talked with me about school, family, hobbies, etc. when we danced he was all over me lol but i let him ; ) and he intertwined his fingers into mine...when we took the bus back to campus there wasn't a lot of space and he told another girl she could sit with us, so i suggested (jokingly) if i should sit on his lap to make room and he said eagerly "yeah if you want." I didn't, but i told him i was sleepy and he put his arm around me and i snuggled up to him and rested until we got back. when we said goodbye we hugged and i thanked him for coming and he said of course and he had a great time : ) Does he like me (more than friends or )????? we both acknowledge i'm a "girly girl" and he's the "tough guy" type haha is this the reason for the attraction

I am taking this humanities cl and right now our unit is on religion and spirituality. I chose to do my presentation on sioux beliefs and because I was told to narrow it down I chose the Lakota. I, too, am a soldier's wife. My husband is a SSG in the Army. In my experience, religious differences do not concern soldiers. My husband and I both strongly agree with don't ask, don't tell...but not limited to s. My husband strongly feels that soldiers should be professionals. He doesn't want to go to work and hear about any one's life, be it ual, heteroual, ...whatever. He's not interested in hearing about it, and he doesn't put up with it from the soldiers in his squad. I think the military is like any other "family." Everyone has their differences, but at the end of the day, you are trusting these men and women with your life, and they're trusting you with theirs. Sure, all soldiers may not agree with each others lifestyles and opinions, but that does not change the camaraderie that can only come with being soldiers.

I live in Hoover Alabama with 3 roommates. One of them is an African American guy who is 19 and has been dating a now 16 year old girl for over a year. She is caucasian. Her parents just found out and are not willing to accept him because of his skin color. He offered to sit down and talk it out only to be told (with other select words) to get away from them and their daughter. They claim that he needs to let her live her life and that she has plans to "make something of herself" and he doesn't need to hinder her. He works at best buy, at least 40 hours a week, and brings home around 1300 dollars every check. He completely supports himself and hasn't relied on anyone for anything since he graduated in May of 08. They forbid her to even talk on the phone to her and she lives an hour away. What could he do? She wants out of their house, not necessarily to live with him, but to be away from her judgmental parents and live her life the way she wants to. I am 19 and left my parents house due to a similar duel, not the skincolor issue though. And now I get along with the parentals like never before. We never fight now and we understand why each other thought the ways that we did. I dont want to influence her in either way, I just want to know what could be done.

Does my best friend like me and how should i approach this?

Guys I know I've reposted this question a lot but I really need a lot of advice and opinions! This could be a huge move for me and I need all the answers I can get! Ok, I'm in high school, and I've been in love with my best friend (of the same age) for a long time now. Here's the kicker: we're both guys. Our friendship has gotten closer and closer, and recently, whenever we've been watching movies or something where we're sitting together in private, I put my arm around him and he doesn't say anything. As time has gone on, I've been able to do more. I hug him sometimes, and when I would normally just have my arm around his shoulder, I do that, plus rub his back, mage his shoulders, and put my arm around his waist and squeeze him up next to me. Also, whenever we have a sleepover, he has started to sleep in and wear around for a little while before and after we go to bed, just his underwear. We also sleep on the floor in sleeping bags or blankets abut 3 inches from each other. Last time we went to a movie, I slowly stuck my hand under his shirt and rubbed his back on his bare skin. I also stuck my fingers a little down his underwear and rubbed him there. The thing is, with the exception of the hug (cause he hugs me back), he never puts his arm around me, or anything else. But he also doesn't tell me not to do any of these things. Do you think he is gay too and likes me? I don't know why he wouldn't tell me to stop doing those things if he wasn't, but if he did like me wouldn't he also reciprocate what I'm doing?

Okay my computer is an HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop about a year old. I have been getting the blue screen of death 3 or 4 times a week. Sometimes it says IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL and other times it says Win32.sys. I recently had my computer reformatted because of a driver error, the blue screen was doing this before the reformatting and after words. hey ya i did the atkins diet a couple of years ago...i enjoyed it at the start but after 2 weeks of doing it i got feed up of just eating meat as im a not lover of meat...in them 2 weeks i lost just over half a stone i was so happy with my self, but it made me constepated so i got a bit worried...i came of the diet and the weight came back on faster than it came of it was a complete waste of time for me.......but i do no some one who was on the atkins diet she wasnt overly big when she started but she followed the book really well and tryed diffent sorts of meals and she loved doing it and she has been doing it for about a year and a half and she has lost a lot of weight..she was very happy with the outcome and she never became ill....i supose it just works diffent for diffrent people.......good luck if u do go for it.....x

Why does my chest hurt and feel like im breathing in icy hot or eucalyptus?

ive had this "rare" sensation for at least 18 years off and on and is becoming more frequent as i get older. i am now 38 yrs. old and have seen several doctors and rheumatologists re: this. two of my sisters have autoimmune disorders, systemic lupus/rheumatoid arthritis, and my doctors are suspecting that it may be related or in the same family although my blood work has always come back negative. i know that this is not an anxiety attack by any means, yet some kind of inflammation problem. one e.r. doctor noted that it may be costochondroitis. i have never gotten a definitive answer and am extremely exhausted over trying to diagnose this "mysterious" re-occuring episode. i do have asthma but its more onset from allergies. my asthma has been more frequent lately as i have bronchitis at this moment in time but i feel that i have this underlying sensation in my chest with all other symptoms aside. the best way to describe this feeling is that my chest wall feels tight and whenever i take a breath in it feels like the air that i'm in taking is extremely cold almost as if i have icy hot inside of my lungs. its a very bizarre feeling and is uncomfortable as when i get up and try to go about my day i find myself winded and fatigued. the only relief i seem to get is if i put capsacin heating patches on my chest and take advil. is there anyone else out there that has remotely experienced anything like this? i am so frustrated and am at my whit's end with this.

Well if you have the money, i would take him on a weekend get away! Go rent a cabin, walk through the wilderness, go fishing, swimming, hiking, rock climbing.It's amazing doing something like that you have so many factors. You have the settings and atmosphere, there is the scenery. You will also relize how much fun it is because of all the team work you can do. A great thing about team work is it makes you feel good to know you can stand on your own, but things are so much easier to have the one you love right there helping you! Exercise is a great form of enjoyment, and best shared with someone you love, and every night buy him a card, write something short and sweet(guys hate long stuff to much to read lol) and maybe get him something sweet like if he like a certain football team buy him a big blanket with the team on it, something you both can share, that way you can show you want to include yourself in the things he likes! ok this is gonna be a long description but here we go. Before becoming a freshmen in high school my grandfather warned me about druggies and drug dealers in high school and that i should stay away from them and said drugs would ruin my life and that i would be living off the streets and said I would rob banks, kill people, steal purses for drugs and said drugs are like cigarettes if i do not do them I will never have to worry about quitting and he said they would kill me and used elvis presley as an example on how successful he was and he died. My grandfather told me they will end up like my step mother who was an alcoholic who ended up on the streets. Even a cop came in and told me stuff about drugs. He said how marijuana is addictive and how these kids in college got up in the morning and smoked after lunch they would smoke and after cles were all done they would smoke and after dinner they would smoke for the rest of the night. He said they had never ped college. He told our cl how this guy got addicted to heroin through smoking a weed laced with it. He told us how some one died from heroin the first time at a party. He said he has never met any one who said drugs were the best decision they have ever made. He said if you would use them you could do things you would never thought you would do like steal from a friend or family member and so on. I even know some one who stole 100 dollars from his parents to get an ounce of weed. But when ever it comes to on line things i hear a bunch of other things like peoples opinions about things saying there is nothing wrong about getting drunk all the time or getting high. They say under age drinking does not cause alcoholism irresponsible idiots do but under age drinking is being irresponsible. I have heard so may different opinions about drugs when it comes from paces such as yahoo or other places saying what cops and people and parents tell you about drugs is lies they try to scare you from doing them it is fun to get high. They are under control of the media. When i was taught no drug ever makes a persons life better things could just get worse in the long run whether it is days, months, years from now. I have heard so many stories about marijuana. They say it is safe and not addictive. People say marijuana has helped improve their life and made them successful. Look at willie nelson and a rumor about the beatles saying they came up with their songs while being high. Look at San Antonio Holmes he is a foot ball player even has been caught with it and failed a drug test and was traded. I just do not know who to believe every ones opinions has changed my thinking about drugs whats true whats not. They say you you should get a very reliable source but getting drugs from drug dealers is not a safe thing at all. People on line have told me that ecstasy is safe and not addictive. Hell I even read that cocaine is not addictive and it is safe off of here. People say lsd will make your life awesome and it is safe and all that stuff and it is not addictive. there are people who say if you use drugs responsibly you will do fine or if you know the consequences and use them safely you will do fine. To do this I had to go to the Jewish Agency in Tel Aviv to prove that I am Jewish. I brought a letter from a rabbi, and my birth certificate (all other doents parents ketuba, mothers conversions cert. were burned in a house fire) now here is the strange part, the lady who examined the letter did not speak nor read english, but she certified it, kept a copy for her records, and gave me a copy with her certification for me to bring to the Visa department. All of these places have records and I am sure if anything gets called into question they will do in depth research, but I am also sure the amount of Jews coming in who must prove they are Jewish is much too mive for them to investigate on a case by case basis. Believe me, if you weren't in the Thomas and Mack that night watching it in person, the tapes don't do the robbery justice, it was a flat out fix and Pernell dominated Oscar. That looks great. I would suggest the 2X1/2" for the block design. You can use painted mdf board for the rest, or actual plywood for the frame. As for tube sizes..it would look best if the tubes ran the whole length of the sides for uniformity. From the ceiling, and esthetically, the drop distance will depend on your ceiling height. If you are using this on 8' ceilings, then you would not want much more of a drop than the lights and a couple of inches or it will make the room look closed in because of the lowered design. If it is used in a room with very high ceilings, then you can use a deeper drop because you have more play area. Just keep it sized for the room...it is a great look, but can become overbearing very quickly in a smaller room if not proportioned correctly.

yea very good looking. be pround of how hard you take care of your skin. no it is not unusual, i was the same way, all of a sudden my face just started breaking out from no-where then as quickly as it came (with the help of a few products) it is completly gone. but noe not unusual you were just able to get your skins PH level to normal which stopped the breakouts

PCI Express is the newer format for Cards, it is the slot it sits in. AGP is the previous slot type for Video Cards. You need to know your motherboard type and find their website to find out what type of slot you have for your card purchase. Also AGP have speeds 1x 2x 4x 8x so make sure if you get one of those you get the correct type of that also.

My libido is at about a -10, and it has nothing to do with my boyfriend (he's gorgeous and perfect for me), or general health (I'm in great shape, exercise, eat healthy and organic most of the time). Im an Eagles fan, have been since childhood. Im also a VA. Tech fan, where Vick played in college and Im quite happy to have him on our team. I love animals.
